Tot el que vols fer, ho tens aquí al costat
Enjoy the sea
Sometimes so warm, sometimes quite the contrary. It’s a proven fact that light is key to your state of mind. Luckily enough, here in the south, the days are long, even in wintertime. Your skin welcomes that warm caress, causing your sleepy spirit to make your mind wander, alighting your gaze on the thousand and one attractions surrounding you.
Nature: inland or offshore, everything is bathed in a unique light.
That is Garraf.
Living the festival
No, they’re not the product of our collective imagination: here, treasures really do exist.
Hidden or in plain view, there are still places where you can enjoy different sensations. Places not known to all, where you can observe, learn and live at first hand the thrill of discovery. Here, the only question is to decide how and when to enjoy them.
Some are small and hard to see, even for those who live here, while others are on magnificent display, with a pride that has made them internationally famous.
Savour the pleasures
Dishes from the sea, such as the cuttlefish “a la bruta” or the angler “all cremat”, are accompanied by the “xató”, a cod salad made with curly endive and dressed with an almond and pepper sauce, to which each town in El Garraf adds its personal touch. The renowned Vilanova prawns are another speciality of the area, along with rice, “rossejat” noodles or “espigalls”, a type of cabbage characteristic of the area. The proximity to the sea is also reflected in the wines of El Garraf massif, with a distinct character and bearing the El Penedès Designation of Origin. Notable among them is the “malvasia”, a sweet wine with a long tradition, made with the local “Malvasia” grape from Sitges.
